BASCOM's Director of Education Services to speak at National Catholic Educational Association's 99th Annual Conference and Exposition

Hauppauge, New York - April 1, 2002—BASCOM's Director of Education Services, Paul J. Lynch, will address school board members from around the country at the National Catholic Educational Association's 99th Annual Convention and Exposition in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Mr. Lynch's workshop, entitled "The Board's Leadership in Creating and Funding a Technology Plan," will introduce a practical, ongoing educational technology planning process focused on integrating technology into regular classroom instruction. The workshop will encourage school board members to take an active role in this planning and focus their efforts on becoming the "locus for accountability" for the process. Mr. Lynch's workshop will be given on Thursday, April 4, 2002 in Convention Center Room 316 from 11:00am - 12:15pm.

Paul Lynch started the Education Services Division at BASCOM in August 2001. Before joining BASCOM, Mr. Lynch was the Director of Information Technology for the Diocese of Rockville Centre on Long Island. Mr. Lynch served as the Diocese's first Director of Instructional Technology from 1997-2000. In this position, Mr. Lynch was responsible for the educational technology planning for 59 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools. Mr. Lynch started his career as a secondary school English teacher working in both public and non-public schools.
