BASCOM's Global Chalkboard Boldly Hits the Trade Show Circuit with its New Web Library and Increased Security for Multi-Layered Filtering

Hauppauge, New York - September 26, 2008—BASCOM Global Internet Services, Inc., pioneering developers of Internet management solutions for K-12 schools, kicks off the fall trade show season by showcasing its newly-refurbished, Global Chalkboard Web Library to teachers, principals, technology directors, and superintendents in both public and private schools. With its strong presence in the non-public school market, BASCOM is debuting its Global Chalkboard Web Library by attending many teachers' workshops and exhibits including those sponsored by: the Diocese of Paterson; the Archdioceses of NY, Baltimore, Arlington, and Washington; the Brooklyn Diocese, and the Diocese of Rockville Centre. BASCOM will also be attending the CAIRS conference sponsored by the N.Y.S. Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools.

In the Public school arena, BASCOM will be attending the 14th Annual SCOPE Technology Conference and 11th Annual Educational Technology Conference sponsored by Suffolk ASSET. In addition to these events, BASCOM may attend the PETE & C Conference (Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference). For more details on these events, visit our Web site at and check "Events" beneath "About BASCOM."

"BASCOM is excited to demonstrate its new Global Chalkboard Web Library at these prestigious events this fall and early next year," states Peter Cirasole, BASCOM's CEO/President. "In addition to showcasing the new release of this Web Library portal, BASCOM has also fortified its Global Chalkboard with many behind the scenes security enhancements. To prevent students from accessing top social Web sites such as YouTube and MySpace, the Global Chalkboard now delivers real-time proxy detection to stop access to anonymizer sites. We've also built into the Global Chalkboard "You-Tube Video Viewing" so that teachers can now easily let students access a select video (and not all content on by allowing a single URL."
